You see those everywhere, especially outside the entrances of houses, shops and restaurants, as well as in the temples. They contain flowers, food, even crackers and candies, as offering to the Gods. One of the locals told me that the system of what to offer to which temple and when is extremely complicated, yet the ones that you see below are the common, everyday offerings which you find everywhere. They are hand-made, and my guess is they are replenished at least 5 times a day. At busy roads, it might be a bit of a challenge not to step on them accidentally!

And it seems the poshest of them are offered a special system so that they don't get lost, and know where home is.
